Stock firmly believes a strong partnership between the home, the school and the bus company helps make the ride to and from school even safer. We have designed a program for students and parents to learn about school bus safety. The Journey Begins teaches children who are attending school for the first time how to walk to the bus, board, ride and leave the bus in the safest way possible. Parents can be involved in the program and reinforce the safety concepts at home.

The Journey Begins Is a program designed for students entering the school system at Pre-K, Junior or Senior Kindergarten level, parents are invited to bring their children (before school begins) to a one-hour program offered by Stock's experienced bus drivers and staff. Children will learn the safest way to walk to the bus, wait for the bus, and cross the street to board the bus, how to sit in the seats, how to behave on the bus, and how to leave the bus safely. It includes a video, an actual ride on a school bus, hand-outs and demonstrations.
